        Eligibility for Phrenic Nerve Treatment

        At The Institute for Advanced Reconstruction, we treat patients with phrenic nerve injuries due to various causes. In order to qualify for treatment, patients must:
        • Have a diagnosis of elevated diaphragm or injured phrenic nerve resulting from trauma, COVID, surgery, and more
        • Be 65 years of age or younger — patients older than 65 will be sent for screening and, depending on the results, clinical review
        • Have a BMI of 30 or less
        Injuries sustained more than five years ago will be screened and clinically reviewed as well.
