Christopher Trahan, MD

Dr. Christopher Trahan is part of a world renowned team pioneering revolutionary breast reconstruction techniques at the St. Charles Surgical Hospital and Center for Restorative Breast Surgery.

Dr. Trahan graduated cum laude from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and received his medical degree from LSU Medical School in New Orleans. He served his internship in General Surgery, and completed a residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, both at LSU Health Sciences Center, followed by a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Trahan specializes in breast reconstruction and has clinical interests in cosmetic surgery of the breast and body.

Dr. Trahan is a member of the American Medical Association and is Board Certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as in Otolaryngology. He has received many honors including the George D. Lyons Award for Excellence in Otolaryngology (2000) and the Esprit de Corps Award for “Demonstration of Camaraderie with Colleagues, Compassion towards Patients, and Professional Integrity” (2000). Dr. Trahan received the 2002 AO North America Resident Research Trauma Grant. He has published numerous scientific articles and abstracts in medical journals, and made presentations at national conferences.
